Who doesn’t love a good cup of coffee?
We sure do. And lucky for us, Pittsburgh is home to a handful of coffee shops that take great care, and pride, in serving a perfectly pulled espresso. They’ll patiently prepare your pour over. They go out of their way to source, and in some instances roast, the finest coffee beans possible.
All this effort doesn’t go unnoticed. The standout shops continue to set themselves apart from other place in Pittsburgh claiming to be in the coffee business. One place in particular has even managed to nab national and international recognition. That place is Commonplace Coffeehouse and Roastery.
A new coffee shop on the North Side
Fans of fantastic coffee, especially those who love Commonplace, will be excited to hear that this coffeehouse and roastery is set to open a third Pittsburgh location on the North Side. In a blog post on their website, the Commonplace team announced that they’d recently signed a lease for a location in the Mexican War Streets, at 1501 Buena Vista Street.
Anyone who has visited Voluto will notice a familiar face at the new spot. Frank, a North Side resident and former barista at Voluto, will be managing the new space. Eyeing an opening date in late summer or early fall, Commonplace is sure to serve as a convening space for community, coffee and conversation.
