Pittsburgh is home to a lot of amazing bars, but one of the most unique is definitely The Open Road Non-Alcoholic Bar + Bottle Shop. Everything they serve in the bar is non-alcoholic. With a wide variety of seltzers, spirits, beers, and more, there’s something for everyone.
The Open Road Bar launched January 2020 as a pop-up bar and currently operates as both an online retail store offering local delivery, shipping elsewhere, and as a pop-up on the second floor of Tonic, a newer coffee shop in the area between the Strip District and Lawrenceville. Additionally Mel, the founder/operator of The Open Road, hosts virtual happy hours.
If you’re able to visit the shop in person, Mel will pick out something perfect for you to try. Mel is well versed on flavor profiles, and you can sample different types of things to find something that you’ll enjoy.
I love the push for more inclusive options, so that everybody can enjoy delicious beverages, alcoholic or not. Check out The Open Road Bar’s instagram for some great virtual live events, pop ups, and more!
