Do yourself a favor, get to Pamela’s and order the hotcakes. They are part pancake, part crepe, and all kinds of delicious. These cakes are spongy, butter, and crispy at once. It’s the sort of thing that can’t be explained, it can only be experienced. So, what are you waiting for?

If the crepe-like hotcakes don’t do it for you, here’s another quintessential Pittsburgh breakfast joint to try. When it comes to pancakes, Deluca’s offers plenty of choices. There’s the “Heavenly Hotcakes”, the option to build-your-own “Fancy Pancake”, as well as a selection of crepes filled with Ricotta cheese and topped with whipped cream.

You might know this place as the go-to brunch spot on Butler Street. If you’ve been then you already know Coca Cafe is on point. If you’ve never been, Pancake Day is perfect reason to stop by. Be prepared for an elevated take on your cakes, like pumpkin pancakes with maple butter and caramelized pears. (whipes drool from mouth.)
Kelly-O’s
This Strip District diner does breakfast (read: pancakes) all day, every day. Which means that, no matter how busy you are today, Kelly-O’s will be open to help you celebrate Pancake Day.
