The award winning musical, Wicked, is coming to the Benedum Center. The Broadway hit will run January 14th – February 15th. This is your chance to see it live!

The Broadway premier of Wicked was in 2003, which starred Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth. It went on to receive 10 Tony nominations, winning three, including Menzel for best actress.
Since the release of the movie adaptation in 2024, the award winning musical has taken over pop culture. It has grossed $758 million worldwide.


The film garnered 10 Oscar nominations, including best picture. The stars of the film, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, were nominated for best actress and supporting actress.
The sequel, Wicked: For Good, was released this past December 2025. It has already surpassed $525 million at the box office and earned five Golden Globe nominations.

USA Today said the musical is “a complete triumph! An original musical that will make you laugh, cry, and think.”
The Wicked North American tour will hit 13 cities, stretching through the entire year, ending in Greensboro, North Carolina on December 6th. Pittsburgh is the second city on the tour.
