“I miss happy hour!”

Something buzzing around our group chats here recently! But have you heard of Virtual Happy Hours?!? For those of you who haven’t, to put it simply, it’s zooming with your friends over a beer on your couch. The muted surroundings have made it easier to connect with your friends on what some would say, a deeper level.

So here’s how the idea started:

You got the drinks, you got the stool (or makeshift stool), you got your friends, but you don’t have the ability to strike up a conversation with a stranger who may know something you don’t.

Plenty of times we’ve been in the bar and next thing you know you’re in a conversation with a stranger and learning about something you’ve never heard of before?

We’re bringing a 3 week- 1 hour or so crash course from our screen to yours with a local brewery, winery, and distillery. This is a completely FREE event that involves engaging conversations with some of the best of the business in the Pittsburgh area. Plug out of the COVID-19 news and plug into the news of the beverage industry. Each course will feature someone (or someones) who lives and breathes the beverage industry for an engaging conversation over trivia, giveaways, and ultimate knowledge.

  1. I really enjoyed the virtual happy hour with Standard! And the place looks amazing! Maybe we can have an in person happy hour when we move to the green phase. 😉
