Light of Life rescue mission is hosting its annual Yinzer 4.12K run on Saturday, August 14th! This is not your typical run, participants are encouraged to dress up in any way that represents Pittsburgh to them, from black and gold, to landmarks, to even bridges. There is also a Little Yinzer Fun Run designed so that even our tiniest Pittsburgh friends can participate! Name a better way to showcase your Yinzer pride than that.
The Light of Life rescue mission is a non-profit organization that transforms lives through the love of Christ by providing food, shelter and hope to people experiencing homelessness, poverty, and addiction. They have two locations on the North Side dedicated to restoring struggling Pittsburgh-ers back to healthy members of our community.
This year, the Yinzer 4.12k run offers both an in-person and virtual component so no matter how far from PGH you are, you can still participate. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Light of Life rescue mission, and an extra $5 from each virtual registration will go directly to the mission. All participants will receive a race shirt, swag bag and a medal, so even more of a reason to sign up.

What a great way to both celebrate being a Yinzer and to give back to our great city! Race you there!
