That’s right — your pup can share a footlong with you and cheer on the Pirates. So what do you need to know before gearing your pup up for a game?

The Dog Package, for $36, includes the price of admission for you and your pup. It is an extra $36 for another human to join so basically your four legged friend has complimentary entrance with your ticket. Pup night takes place on the rooftop with seats in sections 335-339. The rooftop is partially covered behind the seating. Anyone without a rooftop ticket will not be admitted, and anyone without a rooftop ticket cannot bring a dog in.

What to expect?

Dogs, more dogs, a few vendors and the game. Upon arriving, proof of vaccinations must be shown and a waiver must be signed before entering. The open area of the rooftop behind the seating area is standing room, and it’s a great place for your pups to stretch their legs and meet other dogs. There may be a a few vendor tables set up as well for local animal rescues and businesses. There is a concession stand serving beer, drinks, and a small selection of food. During the hot months, there is rumor of a dog pool that will be brought out for the four-legged patrons to enjoy.

Tips?

Regular PNC Park bag rules still apply, so make sure to leave room for your dog supplies. Don’t forget poop bags and training treats, if needed. Most importantly, don’t forget to have your pup also show their Pirates Pride. Fireworks will still go off, so be aware if your dog is sensitive to sounds. As always, be respectful of the establishment and other owners and dogs. If your pups are uneasy around crowds and noises, this may not be the best place to bring them.
