In partnership with Duquesne Light Company and PNC, Pittsburgh Earth Day is bringing this year’s annual Business Breakfast to the Fairmont Pittsburgh on Monday, April 13th from 8am – 10am.

This signature event brings together regional thought leaders, executives, policymakers, and sustainability advocates for a dynamic conversation at the intersection of the environment, politics, and business. This year’s theme, “Building the Next Generation in a Time of Transition,” will explore how businesses can innovate, adapt, and lead in an era of rapid change.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Mayor Corey O’Connor. Grant Ervin, Vice President of External Affairs and Sustainability at S&B, will then moderate a panel discussion that examines the challenges and opportunities shaping our region’s sustainable future.

The three critical topics to be discussed include:

  • Corporate accountability: Navigating disclosures and communicating value to stakeholders
  • Supply chain resilience: Finding operational improvements in an increasingly dynamic trade environment
  • AI and automation: Leveraging technology for efficiency and innovation

Some of the distinguished panelists at this year’s Business Breakfast include:

  • Dr. Jim Charron, Head of Group Innovation and Sustainability, Covestro North America
  • Susan Marriott, Corporate Counsel, Carmeuse North America
  • Gerald (Jerry) Lee Morosco, AIA, President & Architect, Gerald Lee Morosco Architects, P.C.
  • Geoffrey Muessig, Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, PITT OHIO
