Take a break from the busyness of the holiday season to take charge of your health and wellness. Level Up presented by Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Highmark Foundation is a free event designed specifically for millennials looking to take a step forward to improved health.

With inspiring speakers, networking opportunities, healthy snacks, and fitness giveaways, this is the health and wellbeing event of 2019. Plus, did we mention tickets are free and parking is complimentary?

Happening on December 4 from 5:30-8 p.m., Level Up is taking place at the Heinz Field West Club. The event starts with a healthy happy hour where you can sample bites, teas and juices.

Steel City Selfies will be there to take your picture with Colby Armstrong and Christian Hanson, former hockey players. You’ll also have the opportunity to win prizes like game day tickets and fitness classes.

You’ll also have the opportunity to network with keynote speaker Jared Kleinert, USA Today’s “Most Connected Millennial.” Jared, an entrepreneur, TED speaker, and award-winning author, started a company when he was 15 and 16 years old, which has raised over $40 million. Jared also worked as a delegate to President Obama’s Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Malaysia.

“Without our health, we have nothing,” Jared says. “As an entrepreneur, author, and TED speaker, I understand that how I take care of myself directly impacts my clients, the audience as I speak to you, and those I care about most such as family and close friends.

“This is why I’m excited to speak at Level Up on December 4! After studying hundreds of the world’s smartest and most talented millennials, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned about how someone (or some company) might go about achieving exponential success in record time,” Jared remarks. “Come join us for this event so we can connect. You’ll walk away with a fresh perspective on what’s possible for you to experience in life!”

In addition to the fun, food and networking, you’ll gain tools to really feel empowered about your health. Younger generations are facing health challenges such as depression, substance use disorder, diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol at earlier ages than previous generations. Measuring the health of millennials is critical to improving this generation’s long-term health.

A panel featuring knock-out speakers from the Mayo Clinic, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Allegheny General Hospital, and other organizations will be sharing actions that millennials can take to understand and prevent hypertension, diabetes and depression. You’ll walk away from Level Up with a toolkit for your personal health and wellbeing.
