The third annual Western PA Lamb Cook-Off returns September 29th, and this year is even bigger and baaaader! There’s going to be amazing new chef talent cooking the best lamb you’ve ever had! Due to the popularity of the previous two years, the event was moved to the Strip District on 26th Street, between Railroad and Smallman Streets. You don’t have to worry about missing the Steeler game either because they don’t play that day!
The Lamb Cook-Off features 10 collaborative teams of all star chefs cooking America’s best lamb. Ewe don’t want to miss this! Over 36 Pittsburgh restaurants will be represented, with Headlining Chefs from Gaucho, Whitfield, Cinderlands, Casa Brazil, Vallozzi’s, Vivo Kitchen, and many more! Guest chefs will be competing in front of a panel of judges for the people’s choice award.
There will be all kinds of awesome local vendors to check out during the event, including drinks and ice cream, which is always a good time. Check out Red Ribbon Soda, samples are free! Also go for a Dark and Stormy, featuring Jamaica’s Finest ginger beer and KingFly Spirits spiced rum. And yeah it’s Fall but it’s been hot lately–you can cool down with Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream! And don’t forget to refresh with Blume Honeywater. Also be sure to make your way over to the water stations provided by Sustainable Water. H2O rules!
Your ticket includes unlimited tastings from 10 chef teams, local vendors, giveaways, and swag bag. You can also enjoy amazing wine and beer for $5 and $10. And wait, there’s also cocktails by Bar Marco and Cinderlands Beer!

The event is presented by Table Magazine, Pure Bred Lamb by Elysian Fields, and Chef Thomas Keller. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
