Pittsburgh Brewing Company has stood for “Quality, Integrity, Tradition” since 1861, and they’re bringing that same spirit to a Derby Day celebration that’s filled with style, excitement, and charm.

Every first Saturday in May, Churchill Downs in Louisville hosts the legendary Kentucky Derby—the first leg of the Triple Crown and one of the most celebrated races in the world when it comes to horse racing. Since 1875, this popular race has been held annually without interruption, making it a tradition in sports.

Pittsburgh Brewing Company—and Pittsburghers in general—know a thing or two about tradition. On Saturday, May 3rd, they’re turning their Creighton, PA brewery into the ultimate Kentucky Derby Watch Party destination.

Get ready for an afternoon full of Southern charm, live music, delicious food, and, of course, plenty of Mint Juleps, all leading up to ‘The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports’. Whether you’re a die-hard racing fan or just here for the party, this is the place to be for Derby Day in Pittsburgh.

And what would a Kentucky Derby Party be without the fashion to go along with it? We’re talking your biggest hats and bow ties, and boldest prints and pastels for this show-stopping event.

Beyond the Glitz and Glam: The Mission of Bella Terra Stables

While Derby Day is all about the fun, fashion, and excitement, it’s also a reminder of the timeless bond between humans and horses. That’s why Pittsburgh Brewing Company has partnered with Bella Terra Stables as the official co-sponsor for their Kentucky Derby event.

Bella Terra Stables is a local non-profit dedicated to nurturing the connection between humans, horses, and the natural environment. Nestled on 26-acres in Murrysville, the organization uses Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy for children and families within our community facing crisis. Clients can interact with horses in a serene, outdoor setting, rather than an office. But Bella Terra Stables doesn’t just serve people—it also provides a purposeful retirement for older, injured, or unwanted horses who are no longer suitable for riding.
