If you’re a huge fan of reading, this event is for you! The Greater Pittsburgh Festival of Books returns on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

From 10am – 5pm, this free event features over 60 authors, panels, readings, food trucks, and more!

Authors, Readings + Poetry Tent

Throughout the day, you can check out books from local and national authors. This is a great way to meet authors and connect with them on their material. You can ask them questions and have them sign a copy for you!

The Poetry Tent will have authors reading their work throughout the day. All of this will be outside!

A Variety of Workshops

There’s a variety of workshops to attend: “Make Your Own Zine,” “How to Meet Other Book Lovers,” “Book Reviews 101,” “Creative Writing,” and more! The workshops are located in the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Exhibitors + Food Trucks

As you walk the grounds, you’ll be able to find some cool exhibitors. From the University of Pittsburgh Press and Lefty Blondie Press to WQED Education and Stay Gold Books.

Of course, there will be all kinds of delicious food trucks as well!

Panels for Everyone

You can check out so many different panels, which are located inside. Some examples are the “Historical Romance Panel,” “Pittsburgh Memoir Panel,” and “Horror Panel.”
