Starting a company is incredibly difficult. Quite the understatement, don’t you think?
Hey, if it were easy, everyone would do it. But they don’t. So despite what you’ve seen on Shark Tank, there’s more to founding a startup than ideas, investments, and IPOs.
You’ve got questions…
That’s why it helps to have a stellar team and awesome advisors on your side to help you build your company. But once you’ve built your core team, attracting, vetting, and compensating advisors can be a mixed bag.
How do you find the right fit for your team and industry? What types of folks should you avoid? Is there a right way to incentivize them? And what happens when things go wrong?
All valid questions, friend. They’re the types of questions you’ll need to answer. And they also happen to be the questions that will be discussed by a top notch panel at an upcoming event aimed at schooling local entrepreneurs on all things advisors.
They’ve got answers.
Data Driven Creative with Elliott & Davis are playing host to an evening of networking and discussion centered on helping startups secure the right advisor for their company.
This free event, being held at Repair the World in East Liberty, will feature a frank conversation on the all-too important topic of startup advisors. Eric Davis, Managing Partner at Elliott & Davis, and Phil Marzolf, CEO, pHase2 micro & advisor to leading startups and incubators, will serve as panelist.
Members of early stage companies and individuals interested in helping startup founders on a part-time basis should plan on attending. Parent entrepreneurs and advisors are also encouraged to attend as free childcare is provided for kids 2+ with private rooms available for nursing mothers are readily available.
If you’re still not convinced, maybe the food truck and customized advisor agreement will help win you over. See you there!
