Spring has finally sprung here in Pittsburgh, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. We’ll take blue skies over wintertime blues any day, and everyday. So here’s to hoping that the warmer weather holds, because this month’s social calendar is booked solid.

For starters, clear skies and comfortable temperatures make hanging out outside a possibility. Translation: outdoor concerts, eats, and drinking. If you like how that sounds (and we know you do), here’s the rundown on every event you need to know about this May in Pittsburgh.

Head to the Vietnam Veterans Pavilion in Schenley Park to hear some great brass bands, local and otherwise, and get lost in the overwhelming sense of community. If you’re still waiting on that next paycheck, keep in mind that there’s no entry fee…but you’ll probably want to bring some spare cash for food and merchandise. May 7.
