Why should you get to the Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show this year? Have you ever shamefully sat on your couch with dishes in the sink and dust on your television watching Chip and Joanna Gaines turn some cringe-worthy homes into a modern, eclectic farmhouse from a magazine for 8 hours straight and wondered where your day has gone? We haven’t, just asking for a friend…. We do however have a great love for home renovations, food and drink, exercise and free stuff. The 2019 Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show has all of that and then some.
Real-Life HGTV Inspiration
The Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show is officially the largest home event in the USA so you know there’s some big local players there. There is over 10 acres of inspiration for your next project and also some great local companies to help you with your design, layout, supplies, etc. Already went last year? No worries, exhibits and vendors are switched out yearly with 20% of them being new!
NEW Farm to Table Exhibits
This year the Home and Garden show launches the new Farm to Tableexhibit. Meet friendly local growers and food experts featuring their locally-sourced food and ingredients. Sample their food and drinks and let them drop some knowledge on you to continue your surely successful resolutions. Also new this year at this exhibit is Chicken Racing – yes, you read that right – Chicken Racing.
Non-Weather Interrupted Exercise
With over 10 acres there’s sure to be a lot of walking involved. In fact, if you walk up and down all of the aisles once, you’ll walk about 6 miles! If you go walk the event each day (free readmission, see below) you’ll have walked 60 miles!
Randyland
This year the Children’s Village will include a Randyland pop up so bring the kiddos so you – I mean they – can experience Randy Gilson’s art. Don’t have a kiddo? Who cares – it’s Randyland!
One Ticket Buys You 10 Days!
This year the Home & Garden Show will be offering free readmission each day so be sure to get your tickets early. 10 acres can take a lot of time to explore so spread it out!
This is only once a year so get your Chip and Jo on and get to the show!
