11th Hour Brewing Co. and Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR) have teamed up for a special, limited edition beer release of Monarch Pale Ale – a bright and refreshing sessionable 4.4% West Coast Style Pale Ale that pairs perfectly with people you love. The notes of lemon, passionfruit, grapefruit, and fresh spruce will help shake off winter’s cocoon and flutter into the warmer days of spring.
Join the release party on Sunday, April 2nd at 2pm at 11th Hour Brewing in Lawrenceville. The event also marks the launch of PAAR’s Project Last Call – a service industry training program to identify and reduce sexual violence, teach intervention techniques, provide resources, and create a safe environment for staff and guests. Your purchase of a Monarch Pale Ale will help raise funds for, and bring awareness to, PAAR’s efforts.
PAAR provides essential no-cost services to victims of sexual violence in Allegheny County. The Monarch Pale Ale collab was inspired by PAAR’s recent update to their branding to promote inclusivity and was born as a way to not only raise funds and awareness, but also to remove the stigma of discussing and reporting sexual violence.
“What we deal with is not an easy topic and people often shy away from discussions and important actions that prevent these crises from even occurring,” said PAAR’s Interim Director of Development & Marketing, Cory Hart. “What Project Last Call does is target an industry that is at very high risk for incidents of sexual violence and engages in actively reducing these occurrences.”
After its release on April 2nd, you’ll also be able to find Monarch on tap at local bars and restaurants and in cans at local distributors, but only while supplies last – so emerge from your wintry cocoon, flutter over to 11th Hour Brewing, and drink a few pints for the greater good.
