Meet Kevin Garrett, the Pittsburgh born-and-bred musical prodigy. Kevin, who is a Grammy-nominated artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer, he is truly the modern-day version of what a renaissance man is.

Rising to fame, Garrett initiated his career with taking the road with Irish artist James Vincent McMorrow, simultaneously debuting his first EP, Mellow Drama. With adding singles such as “Coloring” (which, guys, reached over 30 million plus streams online ALONE), Garrett began to be taken seriously by his peers in the music industry.

And if you guys aren’t familiar with a little singer – you know, Beyoncé. Well, Kevin contributed to her album, Lemonade, by co-writing and co-producing alongside James Blake for her song “Pray You Catch Me”, thus nearly making Garrett a household name.

Now, it’s Kevin’s turn to take back the spotlight with the release of his first ever studio album, Hoax, which premiered on March 22nd of this year. Eager listeners will hear the bold and blunt voice that has made Garrett famous, leaving his feelings and emotion on full display in songs like “In Case I Don’t Feel” and “Faith You Might”.

In addition to the release of the album, Kevin Garrett will also be heading out on tour, starting on April 24th in London.

It’s musicians and artists like Kevin Garrett that make many of those in Pittsburgh proud, helping to broaden the cultural and artistic capabilities that are found within this city.
