Something about the start of summer always has us itching for adventure. Visiting a new area of the city, planning a trip, or – even more exciting – looking for a new apartment. But if we’re going to go through the trouble of moving, the apartment had better be worth it, you know? Which is why this time, we want an apartment with a view…and here are four choices that you’re going to have trouble picking between.

Highland House Tower

Say hello to this newly renovated 22-story highrise with the largest one, two, and three bedroom homes in Pittsburgh. Remember that view we wanted? Floor-to-ceiling windows in each home and the rooftop sky lounge and terrace should cover it. You’ll experience urban living in a suburban neighborhood near the Highland Park Reservoir. It’s the perfect location near East Liberty, Shadyside, and Oakland, and in proximity to major employers like UPMC, Allegheny General Hospital, University of Pittsburgh, and Carnegie Mellon. Plus all of the restaurants, shops, and nightlife of Bryant Street are just blocks away. Views aren’t the only thing you’ll enjoy living in Highland House Tower! All-inclusive amenities like a 24-hour fitness studio, Luxer package system, rooftop sky lounge and terrace, outdoor pool (coming very soon), and garage parking. So…which floor plan are you picking for you new home?

The Waterfront Apartments

Ready to switch things up with a view of the water? The Waterfront Apartments are right along the Monongahela River with a fantastic waterside community. Live in an open, spacious one, two, or three bedroom apartment or townhome with in-home washer and dryer (is that as big of a deal to other people as it is to us?) and elegant interior with designer-inspired gourmet kitchens. Pets are welcome in these homes because they’re part of the family, too! With a convenient location and resort-style amenities like a pool, dog park, and high-end fitness center, you’ll feel right at home. You’re also right next to the Great Allegheny Passage (which connects to another trail that takes you from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C.) so you can go for plenty of walks, runs, bike rides, and more.

Bracken House North Shore

Looking for the water view and easy access to town?  Less than a mile from PNC Park, and a short walk from the Downtown Cultural District, Morgan at North Shore boasts skyline views and walkability. Their recently updated one and two-bedroom apartments are complete with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, plank flooring, modern lighting, and scenic balconies. They even refreshed the amenity spaces, like a courtyard with a fire pit and grilling station, a heated resort-style pool (which is where we’ll be hanging out all summer!), and a clubhouse with a resident lounge and fitness center. And, we can’t totally keep a secret, so we’ll tell you they’re revealing something big on June 1st…make sure you follow their social media to find out what it is!

The Docks Apartments and Townhomes

The Docks offer calming views of the Allegheny River, and we could all use a little more calm in our lives, right? Pick from their spacious and unique one, two, or three bedroom floor plans. Homes include high-end finishes and in-home washer and dryer, plus they’re pet friendly. The location is perfect, and it’s in a great school district if you have kids! The resort-style amenities are just what we’re looking for – a pool, fitness center, and, naturally, front-row river access to trails, a marina, non-motorized watercraft rentals, and more. What else could you want in a home along the river?
