Mothers and mother figures do so much for everyone else, and Mother’s Day is obviously the perfect time to make them feel special. But coming up with ideas right now can be a little….tricky. But don’t worry! We have 5 amazing ideas to celebrate the women in your life this year. Pick one, two, or all five – after all, mom deserves it.

Sinful Sweets – Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cupcakes

Get mom half a dozen cupcakes from Sinful Sweets – and hopefully she’ll share one 😉 In all seriousness, their treats are delicious, and we highly recommend the chocolate covered strawberry cupcakes. Sinful Sweets was founded in Lawrenceville in 2011 but currently resides downtown. They have kiosks at the Grove City Outlets and Ross Park Mall, and they’re veteran owned. If mom prefers chocolates over cupcakes, you’ll have a hard time narrowing down which to get her! Their chocolates must be good because it’s a family affair – they learned the art from their uncle in Chicago who owns Riverside Chocolates. They do have some limited options for delivery’s which you can find here! For local pickups/cupcake orders please email Abby at: info@sinfulsweetspgh.com.

Treat mom (and your whole family) to a three-course brunch from Revival on Lincoln! We’re not just talking any old brunch, either. We’re talking about tomato crab bisque, chicken crepes with blanched asparagus, strawberry cheesecake shortcake, AND a chocolate dipped strawberry. Order and prepay by NOON on Thursday, May 7, then pick everything up on Mother’s Day between noon and 3pm. Add a mimosa, and we call that a meal fit for anyone important in your life! Click here to order your brunch.

La Gourmandine – Frasier Cake or Tartes aux Framboises

If mom is more into French pastries than American, La Gourmandine is always our pick. They took their Frasier cake off the menu because of recent events, but they’re bringing it back just for Mother’s Day. If you’ve never had it before, it’s strawberries and mousseline cream, and it’s heaven. Or opt for tartes aux framboises – tarts filled with almond cream and topped with homemade raspberry preserves and fresh raspberries. Or solidify your spot as favorite child and get both! Call ahead, order online, or take your chances with availability by stopping in May 8-10.
