December…the time of year where our calendars are full and our free time is at a premium. If you’re on the hook to bring something to any of those events filling up your weekends, you should tortellini check out City Fresh Pasta. #sorrynotsorry for the bad puns, but for real. Everyone else will probably bring cookies, so stand out with a fresh pasta dish!

City Fresh Pasta has two locations – one in Squirrel Hill and one in Nova Place on the North Side. Both are serving up pasta, soups, ravioli, pierogi, and more. And – more importantly for your holiday gatherings – they sell their products for you to make at home.

We don’t have a set recipe for you because there are so many combinations to try. Get a few flavors of their fresh pasta and one of their jars of red sauce. Or how about gnocchi with truffle butter? Add in some seasonal roasted veggies for a heartier side or even a main dish. Don’t forget the ravioli, either. We can’t get enough of the smoked mozzarella ravioli, especially if you add in some of the mushroom ravioli.

If you need us to twist your arm, City Fresh Pasta is donating half of all fresh pasta sales in December at the Squirrel Hill location to Tree of Life and first responders. That means $1 from every pasta bundle you buy. Do some good this holiday season and make your life a little easier at the same time!
