The holidays are upon us, which means we’ll all be spending more time with friends and family. Or possibly looking for a place to escape our friends and family. Either way, if you want to go somewhere with delicious coffee, pastries, and more, look no further than Le Petit Chocolat & Cafe in the South Side.

Owners Amanda and Ibrehim are some of the friendliest people you’ll meet, and their warmth comes through in their food. They know regulars by name, even when those regulars aren’t so regular anymore. Trust us, you’ll want to be a regular after you sample some of their pastries.

The gourmet cupcakes are piled high with some of the smoothest buttercreams you’ll find. We love the chocolate cupcake with vanilla buttercream, which has an amazing vanilla filling. Another good choice is their cinnamon roll – it’s sheer perfection after 10 seconds in the microwave. And, with it’s French name, you can imagine how delicious their croissants and pain au chocolat taste. Holiday hint: get an assortment of pastries or cupcakes to-go as the perfect gift for your favorite people.

Le Petit Chocolate also makes gourmet chocolates. With flavors like honey cashew and ginger rose, you won’t want to miss these. They can even customize chocolates for any occasion or event.

If you’re looking for something more substantial to eat, Le Petit Chocolat offers a variety of soups, sandwiches, and salads. Keep an eye on their menu because it’s going to expand in the coming months! Think gourmet paninis that will be totally droolworthy.

Le Petit Chocolat proudly serves La Prima coffee and have an assortment of teas (we loved the Paris blend!) It’s the perfect spot to sit and catch up with your favorite out-of-towners.
