The holidays have arrived, and what better way to get in the spirit then attending Pittsburgh Light Up Night! Here’s the schedule of events!
PPG Place | Lighting of the Tree | 5:30pm
Do you want to really feel the Christmas spirit? PPG Place is your spot! The area is beautiful and picturesque for the holidays. Countdown to the the lighting of the Christmas tree and skate around the ice rink!
Market Square Christmas Village
Market Square becomes a Christmas shop village! The village features a variety of vendors including natural candles, marble drink coasters, handmade jewelry, European art, glass ornaments, cookies and much more. You can also check out the Made in PGH booth which features our latest holiday merchandise!
PPG Wintergarden
If you get too cold you can warm up inside the PPG Place Wintergarden, where hundreds of gingerbread houses will be on display throughout the holidays. Each one was created by area individuals, local organizations, senior citizens, students and chefs.
BNY Mellon Season of Lights | Market Square | 5:45pm
The Season of Lights display in Market Square can be seen on buildings around the square, with 150,000 led lights set to holiday music. This will happen every night during the season!
Highmark Tree Lighting | 5th Avenue Place | 7pm
The lighting of the Highmark tree takes place on the corner of the Penn Avenue Place building. This year Mr. Mcfeely will light the tree, followed by a laser show and fireworks!
Live music everywhere!
The Bank of America Rockin Blues stage at Stanwix Street and Penn Avenue features Pittsburgh rock act Joe Grushecky at 7:30. Local blues rock soul act Lyndsey Smith hits the stage at 8:30. National pop duo A Great Big World performs on the Comcast Mainstage at Ft. Duquesne Blvd and 9th street at 8pm. You can also check out rising star and popular Youtube singer Elley Duhe performing at the BNY Mellon New Music Stage on Ft. Duquesne Blvd and 6th Street at 9pm.
Fort Duquesne Blvd Fireworks Finale | 10pm
The finale of light up night ends with a huge fireworks display by Zambelli fireworks!
