Blooming with local businesses and rich with history, East Liberty has become a must-visit neighborhood in Pittsburgh. Constant development, culinary and otherwise, is happening here—creating a popular place to live, work, and explore.

Three new breezy, moody, and boozy places just opened up in the area. Here’s what to check out the next time you need a night on the town or a fresh view!

Title 9

Having opened in May 2025, Title 9 is one of the newest and most exciting places to check out on East Liberty’s on Center Ave. As Pittsburgh’s first women’s sports watch bar, Title 9 offers local brews, cocktails, and mocktails from their full bar and rooftop bar.

Folks of all ages are welcome to catch local and nationally televised women’s sporting events on eight televisions—all while snacking on appetizers, like the Sha’Carri Shoe String French Fries, and fresh dishes, including the Lindsey Vonn Veggie Burger!

We’ve had local basketball legends rubbing elbows with the local kids’ soccer teams and dads enjoying games with their daughters. It’s a special feeling to be able to connect with people like this– through something we all love.

Title 9 owner, Sherree Goldstein

Check their Instagram for the upcoming weekend’s schedule for watch parties, trivia, wine tastings, and more. Their current hours are Thursday – Sunday from 4pm -10pm with happy hour specials—get your friends together and visit Title 9 to watch women’s sports!

Hey Babe

Hey Babe is a new, charming cocktail lounge on the ground floor of the The Maverick Hotel on South Whitfield St. With warm vibes and picturesque drinks and dishes, it’s a great place to meet up after work, go on a first date, or just chill if you need a third space.

The fun and moody atmosphere at Hey Babe makes it the perfect place to start or end your night. Their website sums it up: “a little bit fancy but never fussy, refined yet chill, sexy and also comfy.” Plus, there’s no need to worry about reservations—just walk in when you need their vibe!

Some delicious picks from the menu include their smoked baba ghanoush, calamari tempura, spicy caesar salad, oyster mushroom po boy, and ‘today’s little something sweet’ for dessert. Pair their masa gnocchi with red, white, or sparkling wine. Or try their pan-seared salmon with their ‘bee-sides’ gin cocktail.

Hey Babe is open Monday – Thursday from 4pm -10pm and Friday – Saturday from 4pm – 11pm. Don’t miss their Golden Hour (happy hour) Monday – Friday from 4pm – 6pm with drink discounts and 15% off all food! Check their Instagram for more vibes and news.

Palm Palm

Palm Palm just opened at the beginning of July and it’s already a favorite for coastal eats, tropical cocktails, and fresh summer vibes. Located on Center Ave. and inspired by the flavors of California and South America, their menu focuses on shareables, warm conversations, and thoughtful cocktails. There are nearly 30 small plates to choose from and share with your table!

For the main course, choose from luxury dishes including wagyu, branzino, chicken, and steak. Or visit at brunch for pancakes, waffles, benedicts, and more—try the Stuffed Hawaiian French Toast with the Spressy for a sweet kick. The menu rotates seasonally, but core favorites are always available.

For a unique and elevated experience, book their exclusive private dining rooms for a front-row view of the kitchen as they tailor your dining experience. Their private rooms can accommodate up to 15 guests for intimate, one-of-a-kind gatherings.

Visit the bar and lounge during happy hour (Monday – Friday from 4pm – 6pm) for appetizer specials and drink deals. See their website for a complete list of hours, parking info, and reservations. Keep up with Palm Palm and see what people are ordering on their Instagram.
