Put your masonry skills to the test! The SPEC MIX BRICKLAYERS 500® Contest is Thursday, September 25th at Highmark Stadium. The top masonry professionals in the region will compete for a chance to go to the World Championship in Las Vegas!
This annual competition is open to the public from 9am – 2pm. Where else will you be able to watch something like this? It’s bricklaying to the next level!
SPEC MIX BRICKLAYERS 500® Contest
It all begins with the SPEC MIX BRICKLAYERS 500® Contest. Each team will have 60 minutes to build a 26-foot brick wall. After the time runs out, the judges will evaluate each wall, which is based on brick count and craftsmanship.
Watch as teams work their way to the top. The winning pair will go to the World Championship in Las Vegas!
JR. SPEC MIX BRICKLAYERS 500® Contest
The event also features a competition for young adults. The JR. SPEC MIX BRICKLAYERS 500® will have high school-aged participants.
They will have 20 minutes to construct a 9-foot wall. Ready. Set. Build!

Aside from the competitions, Prosoco and Hohmann & Barnard, Inc. will have free educational sessions from brick detailing to masonry stain identification and cleaning. You can also check out hands-on masonry demos by MCAWP!
