Sharpsburg’s popular art studio has a lot of new happenings this season! 

Coming off their third year anniversary, Atithi Studios recently expanded their space to feature their new Creative Lab, a co-sharing artist space and membership program for artists, content creators and innovators.

Five new rooms have opened within the space designed to support ceramics, painting, photography, crafting and digital media. Whether you’re a small business, content creator, artist, maker or other creative artist in Pittsburgh, the Creative Lab will support your next chapter.

Creative Lab Spaces

Photo Lab: Made for digital photographers, clean and versatile space for studio shoots and editing.

Digital Lab: A fully equipped podcasting and vlogging room for content creators and storytellers.

Ceramics Lab: Equipped with wheels and a dedicated hand building area, perfect for clay artists of all levels.

Painting Lab: A private, light-filled room ideal for painters seeking a quiet, focused environment.

Makers Lab: A flexible, craft-friendly space ideal for makers, DIY artists, and hands-on creatives.

Upcoming Events and Exhibitions 

Color Stories

The current art exhibition, Color Stories, will wrap up on Saturday, September 13th. Stop by Atithi Studios to check out this vibrant two-person exhibition one last time. The work, produced by Emily Krill and Julia K. Toal, features joyful, transformative collage works on how each artist reimagines found materials into bold, expressive compositions that radiate color, optimism and creative renewal.

Pittsburgh Latin American Art Festival

This season is packed with cultural events and art exhibitions! Save the date on Saturday, September 20th for the Pittsburgh Latin American Art Festival where all of N. Canal St. will be closed down for cars as patrons can celebrate the vibrant spirit of Latinx culture with an evening full of rhythm, art and food.

Art Battle

Art Battle is heading back to Atithi Studios on Thursday, September 25th! This high-energy night will feature local artists live in competitive painting. Fresh Air Festival: Art in Recovery

On Friday, September 26th from 6pm – 9pm, the Fresh Air Festival: Art in Recovery, a three-day celebration spotlighting the transformative power of creativity in the healing journey, will open to the public. Enjoy the artist meet and greet, acoustic music, zero-proof cocktails and food.

Supporting Local Artists

Atithi Studios already supports local artists in many ways, and the Creative Lab is taking their efforts to the next level. The studio keeps art spaces alive in Pittsburgh, providing a thriving space for diverse voices, emerging artists and inclusive programming.

Further, guests who purchase art from the studio or attend events are helping provide critical financial support to artists, helping them continue their creative journeys. For three years, Atithi Studio has connected the community with creatives, art lovers and cultural influencers.
