One of the coolest concert events of the year, Rock Reggae & Relief, is back! The annual homegrown music festival is August 10th at Stage AE.

The all-ages show is bigger than ever this year. Here’s everything you need to know. Let’s jam!

Raise Money for Nonprofits

This will be the seventh year for the event, having raised over $175,000 for nonprofit organizations that serve neighbors in need.

This year’s show benefits the Pittsburgh Scholar House, which helps the quality of life for single-parents and their children. “Money raised will support up to 20 single parents in the Wayfinders Scholars Fund.”

Music Festival at Stage AE

In past years, the concert was always held downtown, but due to demand, it has expanded to Stage AE. It’s going to be an awesome festival.

Dirty Heads are headlining! Their hit, “Vacation,” has over six billion views and streams on social media. You’ll get to hear it live!

The rest of the lineup is stacked, which includes national and local acts. You’ll jam out with reggae, rock, funk, ska!

Here’s the lineup:

  • Dirty Heads
  • The Movement
  • The Elovaters
  • Third World
  • Roots of Creation
  • Fubar
  • Pittsburgh’s DJ Harris

It’s sure to be an epic night at Stage AE. Get ready for all the jams, all the while supporting a good cause! In a press release, Lucas Piatt, Chairman of the Piatt Family Foundation and founder of RRR, spoke about how the event has expanded this year.

“Our commitment to downtown is as strong as ever but the festival outgrew our block of Forbes Avenue. The North Shore is a perfect opportunity for RRR to grow and contribute to the Northside community because it really is a destination for music and culture,” Piatt said.

Local Roots Pop-Up + Kick-Off Party

There are going to be some awesome events leading up to the show. Rock Reggae & Relief will host two exclusive Local Roots Summer Reggae Pop-Up Series.

On Friday, June 7th, Ras Prophet performed at Revel. On Friday, July 12th, The Flow Band will perform at Revel. The pop-up events will feature “dancehall vibes, specialty craft cocktails, island-inspired cuisine, and rum tastings.”

Here’s another event leading up to the big concert! On Friday, August 9th, there will be a special kick-off party at Revel. This is a free show of two unplugged sets by Roots of Creation. It’s going to be an exciting weekend!
