With an innovative city such as Pittsburgh, there is no reason that it goes without saying we have some pretty awesome residents (sorry-not-sorry for the bragging). With a rise in millennials holding court in Western Pennsylvania, it goes without saying that the ones to watch are 1.) young and 2.) really helping to make an impact, whether its within politics, the arts or innovation.
For the up & coming Pittsburghers to Watch, here is our list of those to watch their greatness unfold right before your very eyes, below:
This past primary season was without a doubt a season of firsts, especially that for Conor Lamb, United State Rep. for PA District 17. A political gem to watch, Lamb is an Army Reserved member in the Marines; but don’t let that fool you – he has a soft spot for social issues including those of the LGBTQ community.
If you are ever walking downtown and happen to see a guy with a camera shooting away, chances are it’s Chancelor Humphrey of Keep Pittsburgh Dope, a blog dedicated to showcasing the amazing talent and the fascinating citizens of Pittsburgh. And the best part? You get to see the people for who they are, through Humphrey’s lense.
If you have not heard of No. 14 Boutique in Lawrenceville, then you might have well been sleeping under a rock the past few years. And if you haven’t been following Girl Boss Brianne Conley online, then hop to it. This millennial business woman is out to change the retail scene in Pittsburgh, and with her whimsical sense of style and business savvy, she is sure to take the city by storm.
An arbiter of what is new and exciting, Aaron Watson of Piper Creative (along with being an entrepreneur, as well as a podcast host of “Going Deep with Aaron Watson), brings together thoughtful discussion with those making a difference within the city of Pittsburgh, and beyond.
