IMPORTANT UPDATE! As of January 2019 Willow is no longer a day-to-day restaurant. Willow has transitioned to being an Event Venue and is only open on select dates for dining reservations (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc) – Check out their site for latest dining and event-booking availability.

RESTAURANT WEEK SPOTLIGHT:

One of the benefits of Pittsburgh Restaurant Week is being able to affordably dine where you may not otherwise typically dine – be that due to distance or fear of the final bill or, if you’re like me, just out of sheer laziness to get off the couch and put on your finest duds. But during this one week each year you must live boldly and go where you maybe haven’t ever been brave enough to venture before. It is worth it! You will get to enjoy the high-class life without the high-class price-tag.

Willow is one such restaurant we were excited to don our finest duds for this year. For only $35.19 the special restaurant week dinner deal will fill your body with three courses of savory and sweet “dined and go to heaven” tastes. Ricotta Gnudi or Kale Salad? Scottish Salmon or Pork Loin? Ice Cream Trio or Bread Pudding? The choice is yours. And better yet just bring a friend, order both, and enjoy everything the night has to offer. After all you didn’t get dressed up for nothing!

When we went we opted to add in the $15 beverage pairing and were not disappointed – each course was complemented well, particularly the hot buttered rum with the bread pudding to cap the night. And the Ricotta Gnudi? Who gnudi that it could be so good? The restaurant itself had well-spaced tables, was dimly-but-not-too-dimly lit, and offered an intimate evening out.

You’ll find Willow on Camp Horne Road in the North Hills. The building is adorable, the inside exquisite, and the guests? Why we can assure you that the guests are wearing the finest attire.
