We’ve only got one more month (okay, six weeks tops) to day drink in the sun, enjoy the best summer foods, and dance outside to live music.
Lucky for yinz, the Crosstown Cookout on August 12 has all your bases covered. In its third year of serving up outdoor cookout realness, this epic day party is bringing you the best of summer in Pittsburgh down on the Mon Wharf. Here are five reasons not to miss it.
The CTC isn’t just a cookout – it’s basically Pittsburgh’s own music festival. Don’t miss headliners A-Trak and Brenmar on the El Gallo & Friends Stage. On a second stage, Spirit and Make Sure You Have Fun have assembled some of Pittsburgh’s finest, representing our city’s DJ culture to the fullest including Bamboo, Nugget, and Selecta. Guaranteed good vibes.
Ever dream of having all of the 412’s best food trucks within walking distance of each other? Dreams do come true, if you just believe. Gaucho’s AsadoWagon will be there, and so will Round Corner Cantina, and so will Franktuary…hungry yet?
All your favorite summer beverages will be served up at bars around the event. VIP tickets will also get you access to an exclusive open bar sponsored by Creatives Drink from 2-6PM, featuring Ketel One Botanicals and local soda heroes Natrona Bottling. Party on, friends.
In between sets, check out the work of some of the city’s best artisans and artists. Plus, don’t forget to hit up incredible vendors, featuring local legends like Cartel Supply Co., Moop Canvas Bags, and Graham’s Barber Shop.
The best news: the event is being run in partnership with Riverlife, an amazing local nonprofit working to rebuild and restore our waterfronts. So, you can feel really good about listening to music, eating, and drinking on the Wharf all day.
