Winter in Pittsburgh can be a weird time of year. You want to go out and have a good time, but you don’t actually want to go outside. Because, well, it’s cold out there. And you’re not getting done up and leaving the house for any old event.

Here’s the thing, you won’t have to worry about any of that this month. There’s so much going on this February that the real challenge will be trying to hit them all. Of course that’s a good problem to have. Especially if you’re prepared. And now you are. Thanks to this list of every event worth going to this February in Pittsburgh. Choose wisely.

History Uncorked

Don’t let that “networking” word throw you. History Uncored isn’t your average mixer. Live music and stellar eats combine with a museum as the backdrop. Plus this year’s theme, Toys features a playful and nostalgic celebration of iconic toys from ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. Feb 19.

Winter Beerfest

This event has grown into one of the ten largest craft beer festivals in the country! Which means you can expect to encounter 300-350 craft beers brewed in our backyard, as well as your favorite brews from around the country. Plus, plenty of beers you didn’t even know existed. Combine that with local restaurant booths and food trucks and you’re in for a night of shenanigans. So buy your tickets now, then download a rideshare app immediately. It will come in handy on February 27.

The Moth StorySLAM

Who doesn’t love a good story? We sure do. And if you enjoy stories too, you should plan on checking out the Moth StorySLAM. At the Moth, the art of storytelling is center stage for an hour of powerful and person stories, around one theme, told without notes. For this event, the theme is love hurts. So, stop in to hear what storytellers come up with. Feb 2.

If you love to party, but can’t justify staying out until the wee hours of the morning, this event is a dream come true. Get a sitter for the kiddos, grab your dancing shoes and get to Spirit for a killer dance party from 6-9pm. Party your heart out right up until the clock strikes 9:00 pm. Then it’s call it quits. Or let this be your pre-game dance party for a full night of rabbel-rousing ahead. Feb 12.

The Rec Room: Winter Games

The summertime concert series Weather Permitting is taking the party indoors for The Rec Room: Winter Games. Although it doesn’t actually feel like it (yet), it actually is winter. So join Weather Permitting as they transform Spirit Hall into a space of play and entertainment. The unique offering of parlor sports will include Bally, GaGa, Molkky and Bucket Pong, plus new hybrid physical-digital games. Feb 7 & 21.

The Gym Grand Opening @ Ace Hotel
