Pittsburgh has come a long way over the last few years.

From startups changing the way we interact with language, to companies that are truly valuing the needs of their employees, it’s a no-brainer why we’re constantly being named among the top cities for millennials and new businesses.

So, how can you get involved?

By nominating your company for a Top Workplaces Award, an initiative the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has partnered on for it’s 8th year, you’ll be able to voice your opinions through a thoughtful employee-survey. Your statements will be used to conduct an in-depth analysis on what drives employee engagement, from company values and ethics, to management style.

Top Workplaces data from 2017 indicates that the most important thing to employees isn’t money; instead, the 21,000 people surveyed were most concerned about their company encouraging different points of view, acting ethically, and caring about the concerns of its employees. Basically, employees today want respect.
