When you think of typical Pittsburgh food, you probably think of Primanti’s sandwiches, Potato Patch fries, and even Isaly’s chipped ham. You probably don’t think of fresh, homemade Korean-inspired comfort food…but Bae Bae’s Kitchen downtown is out to change that.

Bae Bae’s Kitchen is focused on making Korean food approachable, one delicious dish at a time. They use local, organic ingredients as much as they can. The menu changes seasonally, so you know it’s always fresh. We love how their build-your-own-plate option lets you try a few different items, in case you’re new to Korean fare. Or try a few favorites if you can’t decide! We especially loved the KFC – that’s Korean Fried Chicken – and the crispy tofu.

Located downtown on Liberty Avenue, Bae Bae’s Kitchen is the perfect place to grab lunch or dinner. There’s plenty of seating in the bright dining room if you want to catch up with friends. It’s also perfect for take-out if you need to rush back to your desk. Just remember: they siesta daily at 3pm (but still serve coffee and tea) and reopen again at 5pm. Plan accordingly!
